Graphics and Drawings with Color
Drawing in Modern Art has been pretty much neglected. Drawing is not just copying a face, a tree.. It is having a subject and by means of line and maybe tone, to bring it to life and have the feeling of something unique and intimate. The scale is very small and is not bombastic trying to capture your eye.
It would need a practiced eye to appreciate it.

When I was a child in elementary school, I drew Superman {one of my favourite subjects}, that is not copying him from any example, in an art lesson.
The teacher was surprised and sent me around to other classes where in each one I also had to demonstrate the Superman on their blackboards with chalk and they were also surprised that I could do it. My likes in drawing over the years have been diverse - Michelangelo's drawings, Goya ,Redon, Rembrandt and Hogarth ‘prints Sharaku and Hokusai, other Japanese printmakers ,early Greek pottery artists, Picasso (when he sets his mind to it) and many others, including Lautrec, Ingres, Daumier .. The works below are a sample of my works which I've done over different periods.. Lautman
