Dyptych

In earlier times it was the custom of some religious men, to carry on their travels  two small paintings of a holy subject which could be joined and folded together like a book for protection ,which are called dyptychs in modern terminology.  In my dyptychs, I incorporated the same idea {two paintings together} but instead, linked two separate works together in place of showing them individually.  The result  put me into new thought processes and challenges of a creative nature and gave me a new area of expression.
